Did you know that the Amazon is now considered the longest as well as the largest in terms of volume of any river on Earth? That is correct, as recent data now says the Amazon is actually 65 miles longer than the Nile. One pundit attributed that to be true if you take the long way around the island of Marajó in the Amazon delta of Brazil.
